Yom HaShoah Siyum

Wednesday, May 1, 2019 26 Nisan 5779

5:30 PM - 9:00 PMAhavath Torah

The greater Englewood/Tenafly Community is invited to attend a Yom HaShoah commemoration on May 1 at Ahavath Torah, for which we are undertaking two very special projects. We will be displaying an exhibit of artifacts and heirlooms from before or during the Holocaust, all belonging to families connected to Kesher, Ahavath Torah, East Hill Synagogue, and Kol HaNeshamah.

We have also collected 525 names of Holocaust victims and survivors who have passed away—all tied to the Englewood/Tenafly community—and we will be learning the complete Mishnah in their memory, culminating in a siyyum on May 1.

If you are interested in learning, please click here to enter your name in the “Participant” column for any chapter(s) you would like to learn. You may learn more than one chapter, and more than one participant may learn any one chapter.

The spreadsheet contains names of those being learned for and additional information, if available. Volunteers can learn on their own in advance, or can complete their chapter on the night of the siyyum prior to the program during a communal hour of learning.
