MATANOT L'EVYONIM
Matanot L'Evyonim - add a donation to your Mishloach Manot contribution which will be distributed on Purim day in Bergen County and in Israel via the following two projects:
Project Ezrah: Throughout the year Project Ezrah assists client families with expenses that cover their basic living needs. Project Ezrah's staff works with each family to guide them and assist them in making financial and lifestyle choices in order to create a lifestyle that is appropriate and sustainable. On Purim Day, Project Ezrah gives the "little extra" to these families; the little extra that makes a big difference. Money from Matanot L'Evyonim goes toward children's school tuitions, necessary but unforeseen expenses and money for their seudah.
Leket Israel: Leket Israel is a food rescue network in Israel. While a quarter of Israel's citizens are living in poverty, hundreds of thousands of tons of perfectly good, nutritious food are needlessly destroyed each year. Leket Israel reclaims and distributes over a half million pounds of nutritious food every week to benefit Israel's poor. Fresh produce, prepared meals, and manufactured perishable goods are rescued or sourced from food suppliers and redistributed free of charge to nonprofit organizations serving over 140,000 needy people on a weekly basis. In addition, Leket Israel supplies sandwiches (7,500-8,000/day) to underprivileged children. Due to their extensive volunteer base, for every dollar donated, 10 pounds of food is rescued. This Purim, we will help Leket Israel salvage food for Israel's poor.

Misheberach List
We are reconstituting our misheberach list, to be used at our daily minyan each and every Monday and Thursday. Please click here to add the name of a friend or family member who is in need of healing. Even if it is a name you've added already, we are starting the list anew, so please add it again.
If you wish, include in the last column the description of the individual, so we know for whom we are davening (eg, "Rabbi Block's aunt Sarah").
